Suzuki Violin School Vol 1, Book & CD
This edition features the CD recording performed by the renowned violinist Hilary Hahn, accompanied by pianist Natalie Zhu. Considered one of the world's top violinists, Hahn's performance in this recording is exceptional, and I highly recommend it for Suzuki students, and any music lover.

Sassmanshaus Early Start on the Violin, Vol. 1
I use this book as a complement to the Suzuki materials when they are ready to start learning to read music.
Foamalin Pre-Twinkle Violin Trainer & Bow - 1/32 Size
For beginning students under 5 years old, I recommend beginning with a “box violin”, as it allows the student to set their ambitions on establishing a firm foundation. When we remove the ability to make a sound with the instrument, young gain the ability to see the everything that underlies it! With a real violin, the young student can sometimes set a goal of making sound at all cost. That cost is less than ideal body use habits that set like concrete and are changed with great effort. So the box or foam violin is a simple but effective tool to get optimal results from lessons. I like this product because the channel for the bow to glide in encourages the elbow to open and close as they practice their rhythms.
